BrainStation 致力鼓勵年輕人的創造力和批判性思維，同時推廣聯合國的可持續發展目標。今年的 Minecraft 比賽將挑戰小學和中學生設計未來城市，在 Minecraft 世界中，參賽者將扮演一位城市規劃員，協助市長共同建立一個未來城市。考慮到未來30年我們將面臨的趨勢和挑戰，你的設計應該考慮未來城市的模樣，建築所需的元素，城鄉與動植物如何共存，以及如何有效利用天然資源及再生能源，建立一個可持續發展的城市。
未來城市還可包括其他元素，例如可持續高效交通的需求問題、考慮技術對城市發展的影響，如人工智能和自動化。也可以考慮其他趨勢和挑戰，例如人口老齡化、全球一體化以及虛擬與現實的混合等。讓學生發揮無限創意，設計出一個最創新、獨特、與時並進的未來建築！
BrainStation has been committed to encourage creativity and critical thinking among young minds while promoting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. This year’s Minecraft competition will challenge primary and secondary school students to design a future city! As a city planner in the Minecraft world, your mission is to create buildings that are suitable for the future, taking into account trends and challenges that we will face in the next 30 years. Your design should consider what the future city will look like, the essential elements for future buildings, how they can coexist with animals and plants, and how they can have sustainable development elements while utilizing natural energy.
The future city could address other issues, for example the demand for sustainable and efficient transportation, the impact of technology on the city’s development, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automation. Other trends and challenges that can also be considered are the aging populations, global unification, and the hybridization of virtual and reality etc. Let students unleash their infinite creativity and design the most innovative, unique, and advanced future architecture!

You are an urban planner in the Minecraft world, whose mission is to create innovative buildings suitable for the future. Unleash your creativity and use Minecraft to present the futuristic world in your mind!

Can they coexist with animals and plants?

作品規格 Submission requirements
• 軟件：Minecraft Education (Download)
• 格式：.mcworld檔案
• 參賽作品的作品須為原創作品，不可抄襲
• 作品中所使⽤的圖片、聲⾳及影片均必須為原創或已授權；如發現有違反⾏為，相關參賽者將被取消參賽資格

• The pictures, sounds and videos used in the works must be original or authorized; if any violation is found, the entrants will be disqualified from the competition
報名及遞交⽅法 Submission Details
請仔細閱讀報名表格上之注意事項並填妥報名表格，比賽報名費⽤為$250
1. 請依以下格式命名檔案：[參賽者⾝份證明⽂件上英⽂全名]。例
如作品檔案應為”Chan_Siu_Ming.mcworld”
2. 填妥報名表格，並把作品檔案電郵⾄
competition@brainstation.com.hk。電郵標題請註明「Minecraft未來城市建築大賽2023」。以電郵投稿的截⽌時間為 2023年 5⽉ 10⽇晚上 11 時 59 分，逾期將不獲處理。
Please read the event rules and event details carefully and fill in the registration form. The registration fee is $250 for the contest

competition@brainstation.com.hk. Please state the subject of the email “Minecraft FutureBuild Contest 2023”. The deadline for submission is on or before May 10, 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted
評審準則 Evaluation Criteria
1. 創意（20％）：城市設計是否具有創意和創新性？是否展示了獨特和原創性的想法？
2. 功能性（20％）：建築物的功能如何？是否設計得能夠有效地滿足居民的需求，包括交通、住房和公共服務的良好規劃？
3. 可持續性（20％）：城市的可持續性如何？是否融合了環境友好的特色，例如可再生能源、綠色空間和廢棄物減量策略？
4. 視覺和美學（15％）：建築物的視覺吸引力如何？是否融合了吸引人且具有連貫性的設計元素，例如色彩方案、建築風格和景觀設計？
5. 整體影響（15％）：建築物如何符合未來城市建築的主題？是否展示了對城市生活未來的積極願景？
6. 使用Minecraft功能（10％）：學生如何有效地使用Minecraft Education Edition的功能來設計城市？是否包括交互式元素，例如紅石電路、命令方塊或其他Minecraft工具？
7. 演示清晰度（決賽階段）：城市在舞台上展示的清晰度如何？學生是否能夠有效地傳達建築物的設計和其獨特的特徵？
透過這些標準，評審可以評估參賽作品，並選出最具創意、功能性和可持續性的未來城市設計。
1. Creativity (20%): How creative and innovative is the design of the city? Does it showcase unique and original ideas?
2. Functionality (20%): How well does the buildings function? Is it designed to efficiently serve the needs of its inhabitants, with well-planned transportation, housing, and public services?
3. Sustainability (20%): How sustainable is the city? Does it incorporate environmentally-friendly features, such as renewable energy sources, green spaces, and waste reduction strategies?
4. Visual & Aesthetics (15%): How visually appealing is the building? Does it incorporate attractive and cohesive design elements, such as color schemes, building styles, and landscaping?
5. Overall impact (15%): How well does the buildings address he theme of future city architecture? Does it showcase a positive vision for the future of urban living?
6. Use of Minecraft features (10%): How effectively has the student used the features of Minecraft Education Edition to design the city? Does it include interactive elements, such as redstone circuits, command blocks, or other Minecraft tools?
7. Clarity of presentation (For finals only): How clearly is the city presented on stage? Is the student able to effectively communicate the design of the buildings and its unique features?
By using these criteria, the judges can evaluate the submissions and identify the most creative, functional, and sustainable future building designs.
賽果公布 Results and Notification to Winners
初賽
每個組別進入決賽的⼈數為 10 ⼈，進入決賽的名單將於活動網⾴公布並會個別聯絡通知。
決賽
決賽將於「課外活動教材及⽤品博覽 2023 暨課外閱讀⽂化節」5 ⽉ 21 ⽇當天舉⾏。決賽時間為 4:00pm – 6:30pm，參賽者需於決賽當天進⾏ 5 分鐘作品演說，評審會在當天對作品進⾏測試及評分。
每位參賽者必須遵守比賽條款及細則，否則參賽資格將會被取消或不獲受理。主辦單位不會作另⾏通知。
Preliminary Round
10 entrants of each group will be selected for the finals. The list of finalists will be announced on the event website and will be notified individually.
Finals
The finals will be held on the 25th of August on the day of the “Extracurricular Activities Teaching Materials and Supplies Expo Exhibition Introduction”. The final competition time is 4:00pm – 6:30pm. Contestants are required to give a 5-minute speech on the day of the final. The judges will test and rate the projects on the same day.
Each entrant must abide by the terms and conditions of the competition, otherwise the entrant will be disqualified or not accepted and the organizer will not give further notice.
